Article Writing Help: Style And Structure

Article writing can be a daunting task for some people to complete. It requires a great deal of patience and the ability to conduct your research properly. Without these two things one will not be successful in their attempt to overcome the essay. With that being said one must be familiar with the proper style and structure of an essay.

Knowing the style:

The style of your essay has more to do with what type of essay you will be writing for the purpose of this article. More than likely your professor or teacher will have this information outlined for you in their assignment. Sometimes the style of the essay is left up to you. You should be familiar with different sorts of essays that are available to you. Some examples are:

  • Argumentative essays:
  • Such essays ask that you pick one side of an issue and argue why your stance is the way to go. You touch on the other side of the issue, but the paper is more about convincing the audience that they have a stake in the issue and that your stance on the issue is one they should be in tune with.

  • Descriptive essays:
  • Such essays ask that you describe an event or person place or thing. It ask for you to make observations and to let the reader know what you experienced. The objective is to make the reader feel as if they were there with you, experiencing everything that you went through.

  • Reviews:
  • A review is a review or overview of a product or service. It evaluates the object and makes recommendations on whether or not one should use the product or service. Sometimes reviews just offer up information about the product and are not critical assessments in nature.

Structure:

the structure of your essay will be dependent on the type of essay you will be doing. Most essays employ the same basic structure. The basic structure includes an introduction, body, and conclusion. The introduction will introduce what the paper will be about and hook the reader, which will cause them to read on. The body paragraphs will introduce and explain the main points associated with the topic and provide research and supporting facts. The conclusion will sum up everything you have learned about the particular topic at hand. Towards the end is where you reiterate what message you want the reader to get out of your essay as well.
